Skin aging will happen, whether you want to or not. But it doesn’t need to be rushed. Sagging and wrinkles can be slowed down. For your daily grooming routines, you may already be using skin creams and treatments. You can’t expect topical creams to work alone and be fully efficient. In fact, anti aging would work best if you start from the inside.
First step is to make sure you’re drinking enough water. The general agreement is that people needs to drink more water, despite all the varying opinions of the amount of water a person really needs to have good health. Wrinkles and dryness often occur when you’re thirsty because the skin is thirsty too. Drink water regularly to hydrate your skin.
Water is good for you, but you can’t say the same for alcohol and soft drinks. Alcohol and caffeine wreak havoc on the skin’s structure and causes the skin to dehydrate. Green tea is probably the acceptable alternative to water because it’s low in caffeine. Green tea is helpful in anti aging because it’s loaded with antioxidant that fight off free radicals which cause aging.
Multivitamins are also important and our bodies get the nutrients we need from the food that we eat. In your daily diet, be sure to include lots of fruits and vegetables. This way, besides fortifying your body with more antioxidants, you’re also getting plenty of vitamins and minerals. One of nature’s “super foods” are blueberries, and they also contain extremely high antioxidant values.
With exercise, you get to keep your weight down, tone your muscles, get your blood flowing and work your heart, therefore helps keep you from aging. With exercise, you don’t only look younger, you feel younger as well. It’s a most beneficial habit to get into.
Getting enough sleep is also important, and people who look younger than their age can vouch for that. Try to find ways to work it in if you are not getting enough sleep. Don’t stay up too late watching television and when you do have problems sleeping, try reading a book instead. This new habit is quieter and can help you get sleepy without the noise of the television keeping you awake.
Don’t put off the task of taking care of your skin, otherwise it may be too late. Therefore, you need to protect you skin now. After a few years, you’ll still look young and feel young, and you’ll be thankful for it.
